Bird Nets vs Pigeon Nets: Understanding the Difference

Bird nets and pigeon nets are often confused. Here is what actually differs and how to choose the right mesh for your balcony.
Are they the same thing?
They are very similar, but the mesh size differs. Pigeon nets use a larger mesh designed specifically to block pigeons, while bird nets may use a finer mesh to keep out smaller birds as well.
Both are made from UV-stabilized nylon or HDPE and are nearly transparent from a distance.
Why pigeon control matters
Pigeon droppings carry bacteria and can damage AC units, ledges and balconies. Nesting pigeons create noise and mess. A properly installed pigeon net solves the problem humanely without harming the birds.
- Stops droppings and nesting
- Protects health and hygiene
- Nearly invisible, fully removable
- Humane and bird-safe
